What is the purpose?
Ecomundo aims to increase the awareness on colombia's society towards enviromental preservation and conservation, allowing in this sense to mantain our natural resorces and the development of sustanible production. It is important to educate on the importance of environmental care and the responsability for our daily actions that cause constant damage to the planet. We want Colmbians to behave as owners of a country and a planet with limited resources.
About the project
Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning. Some adecuate profiles:
Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology, Environmental care and in general environment entusiastics.
As the the trainee will have to work with children and young people, he/she will have to develop attracting talks and diferents activities on various topics each week, in which the main subject will be environmental problems existing, globally and locally.
You will prepare work spaces on environment, recycling, awareness on environmental issues, solid waste, renewable energy, urban agriculture, climate change, water conservation, etc. Teach important subjects as the three R's of the environment: reduce, reuse, recycle. Highlight the importance of life and pass to action with activities as planting trees.
The intern must also be available to promote AIESEC to the local community in activities such as participating in promotional stands and giving speeches to people of the city.
